Only recently have some of the mysteries surrounding sleep been clarified: its origin, physiology and biological functions; however, there is still much to be studied. It is becoming increasingly clear that sleep is a vitally important process for the overall health of human beings. However, according to some studies, the trend in the world population is towards a reduction in total sleep time, which has been reflected in the increase and incidence of sleep disorders. For this reason, this article introduces some practical recommendations that may be useful when it comes to falling asleep:

  1. READ IN BED.- Specialists have shown that reading before sleeping helps you fall asleep.
  2. ALWAYS GO TO BED AT THE SAME TIME.- Falling asleep is also a matter of discipline: if you get your body used to sleeping at a certain time, your body will respond.
  3. EAT HEALTHY.- There are studies that prove that eating fruits and vegetables allows you to sleep without problems.
  4. KEEP THE ROOM COOL.- When it comes to sleeping, body temperature has a lot to do with it.
  5. PRACTICE YOGA.- It is proven that yoga promotes a state of relaxation.
  6. MEDITATE.- It is familiarizing the mind with positive habits.
  7. DRINK WARM MILK.- The home remedy par excellence.
  8. SAY GOODBYE TO CAFFEINE.- Coffee, tea, chocolate, all have caffeine. Be careful with that.
  9. TURN OFF ELECTRONICS.- When you decide to go to bed, say goodbye to screens.
  10. INVEST IN BLACKOUT CURTAINS.- The more light there is in your room, the more difficult it will be.
