Father’s Day is a day not only to honor our father, but to honor all men who act as fathers. Celebrate stepfathers, uncles, grandfathers, and in general the father figure, since all are worthy of recognition for their care and concern, from those who depend on them or have depended on them in one way or another.
Father’s Day is for all children to have the opportunity to thank God the Father and life for the father they have or had. Therefore, on this day the most important thing is not to give them a present but to thank them for all they strive, sacrifice and do every day for the well-being of their children. It is a great occasion to make them feel the gratitude and love they deserve and that men also need. Father’s Day is another happy occasion to bring the family together.
The father represents the balance necessary to educate children as they grow and develop within a stable and loving home to become complete and happy men and women in the future. He plays a fundamental role within the family group, especially in raising children, where the father acts as protector and guide while the mother provides shelter and tenderness.
Over the years, the tradition of giving presents to fathers on their day has become widespread, which is not bad in itself, unfortunately large stores promote Father’s Day to sell their products and increase their profits, commercializing it and distorting its true meaning.
